Yeah, I would have to agree with this. The sad thing is, this could have been a great movie had they continued with the same sequence as the beginning: The engineer firing up the engine, recklessly climbing out of the moving train to try to throw the track switch, the train accelerating…. all very subtle yet much more intense without the laughably low news helicopters that buzz around later on.

Darn, I hate learning that good guys win! How did you know? Since I read it anyway, (with the knowledge that no, every last human being does not get brutally devoured in this film) I have to say, err… type that the reviews sound exactly like I was expecting. A great coming of age story that completely shifts it’s focus just as it was on to something spectacular.

YES! I completely agree! All over the net I see people all excited for this crap movie! It has no relation to Mortal Kombat other than the title. Thank you for bringing up Legend of Chun Li. That’s a perfect example of what Hollywood is doing with video game movies. They modernize it too much. They added guns in a Street Fighter movie and Bison was a blonde, Irish, real-estate agent wanting to renovate a small village. WHAT!?!? I loved the first Street Fighter movie. It was true to the game. Didn’t drown it in bull shit. Sure it was cheesy but it wasn’t shitty. What would you rather eat? Cheese or Shit? Exactly.
